We’re proud to share that Vital Culture UK’s founder, Tanya Vital, has been recognised as part of the Digital Accelerator team shortlisted for the Innovation Award at this year’s Stage Awards, celebrating cutting-edge contributions to the future of the arts.

Delivered by National Youth Theatre in partnership with Microsoft, the Digital Accelerator is the UK’s first creative education programme in theatre dedicated to the responsible use of AI. Tanya contributed as a facilitator and creative lead, supporting young people in exploring experimental storytelling, immersive performance, and digital theatre formats that challenge traditional norms.

The programme has:

  • Trained 1,504 young people in London, Manchester and Bristol

  • Certified 383 participants with hands-on digital skills

  • Reached over 355,000 people online

  • Developed 20 professional creatives as Digital Accelerator Leaders

In line with Vital Culture UK’s mission to empower underrepresented voices through innovative digital storytelling, Tanya’s contribution focused on blending live performance with emerging technologies like AI, motion capture, and real-time audience interaction.

This nomination is a tribute to the creativity and care you all approached this new work with.
